Drawing and Animating Rectangles in GeoGebra
To draw and animate a rectangle in GeoGebra, follow the steps below.
Step 1: Creating a Slider
Create a slider by clicking the Slider tool, then click the GeoGebra workspace. The following dialog box will appear.

Fill in the dialog box above: Name for the slider name, Min for the minimum value, Max for the maximum value, and Increment for the step size. Then click OK and the slider will appear. Use the Move tool to drag the slider.
Step 2: Create a Rectangle with Lines
To create the rectangle, enter the line equation in the Input box on the left. In the same way, enter , , and . After that, the display will look like the image below.

Step 3: Creating Cutting Points
Create the intersection points , , , and by clicking the Intersect tool on the toolbar, then selecting the two lines that form each point.

Step 4: Creating Rectangular Polygons
Create the rectangle by connecting the intersection points. Click the Polygon tool on the toolbar, then click points , , , , and finally return to point .

Step 5: Hiding the Auxiliary Lines
Hide the auxiliary lines created earlier by right-clicking each line and disabling Show Object.

Step 6: Testing Animation with Sliders
When the side slider is moved, the area and perimeter of the rectangle change. This shows that the side length affects both area and perimeter.
Step 7: Tidying Up the Appearance
Tidy up the display by hiding the coordinate axes. To change the color of the slider and rectangle, right-click each object, open the settings, and choose a color.
